Lean Enterprise Institute faculty member Greg Lane learned and implemented lean principles while at Toyota and NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc.), the Toyota-GM joint venture. After purchasing a job shop manufacturing company, Lane led it through a successful lean transformation.
