Lory’s experience includes 22 years with P&L responsibility in VP, COO and strategic roles in several verticals including hospital systems, Academic Medical Centers, Integrated Delivery Systems, FQHCs and in innovative start-up social & for-profit ventures. Lory has been consulting with Honsha for two years, blending her background as an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) with the culture driven, team building and problem solving methodologies of the Toyota Production System (TPS).
When implementing TPS and kaizen, Lory focuses on building front lines staffs’ confidence in systematic problem solving as well as the agility to move through cycles of standardization and improvement. She emphasizes the important role of leadership as both a strategic as well as a support role, meaningful metrics and a culture aimed at supporting the organization to see problems as “gifts” and to acculturate a heightened sense of accomplishment in leaders supporting their teams to reach continuously improving levels of performance. This includes the use of human-centered design for business or product design or related innovations.
Lory has a BS in Occupational Therapy from Tufts Univ. and a Masters in Health Policy & Management from Harvard School of Public Health
